The Image of the Beast

Thou shalt have no other gods before me. Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth: Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me;(Exo 20:3-5)

The governments of men are a likeness or image of the Government of God which is a thing that is in heaven above.  It is not merely images which are prohibited by the commandment, but those which are worshiped or raised above that which the Almighty has authorized, and so become a god before Him.  Statism is this Idolatry simply because obedience is worship.  Most will place the government of men above the government of God because they love the pleasure of sin, and many will worship because they fear man more than they fear God.

A government of men may be expressed as a Beast by the scripture because it becomes unruly and thru licentiousness allows or even commands that which is prohibited by the Law of Thee Highest Power. Murder by abortion, fornication, and legislated theft, even theft disguised as charity are just a few examples of this licentiousness.  When men take advantage of that license to sin or in fear capitulate to those laws which cause them to violate the Creators Commandments they do in fact worship a Beast or its Image.

Because Christians today believe that the Law of God was nailed to the Cross they will fail, honestly most already have capitulated, they will simply fall where Daniel and his fellows stood in obedience against an authority which required them to forsake the commandments of the Almighty and worship the Image, a government of men.  If one fails to stand against an unlawful authority now when it is easy how on earth do they believe they will stand when it requires their very life?

And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.  (Mat 10:28)

  1. I like your work a lot, but I see some issues. I dont feel the governments of men are in the image of the government of God. Remember Israel wanted a king to rule over them. This was in opposition to God’s will. I think you naled it in the vatican moves on temple mount post. the false profit will be head of this leauge, and israle, the whore, will say to herself i am no widow. but the beast will turn on her. then The Lord will unfold the heveans. I dont see it as america. Also the merchants of the earth are all merchants of items found in building the temple.

    1. an image is only a likeness of the thing which it is an image of – it is not the thing! God’s government is forever and thee highest authority – the governments of men seek to usurp that authority over men.

  2. It is suggested that the governments of men are the image of the beast mentioned in Rev 13. If that is true, then whatever the governments of men are made in the image of, must be the first beast of Revelation 13. But the article above says that the governments of men are made in the image of the government of God. So the logical conclusion would be that the government of God is the first beast of Rev 13. That makes no sense. Time to start from scratch, and look for a better theory about what the two beasts of Rev 13 symbolize. Remember, the image of the beast is made in the image of the first beast of Rev 13.
