Nicklas, you should consider excluding the added word (day)
from the text “Now upon the first (day) of the week, very early in the morning”; since the resurrection of Jesus occurred three days and three nights beginning after evening of the 14th day of Abib [in the midst of the week]. Removing the added (words) from the verse reads “Now upon the first of the week, very early in the morning, they came unto the sepulchre, bringing the spices which they had prepared, and certain with them.” would allow three days and three nights to occur before discovering the empty sepulchre to take place after the seven days of unleavened bread [the sabbath week]. Since there was no Sunday resurrection: We can consider what Christ and the risen saints did in the four days that followed his resurrection.

Either way I read it – it says the same thing to me! I however do agree, there was no Sunday in the historical context.
